ISO Flanged SS 3-Position Gate Valves (Pneumatic)

CF Flanged SS 3-Position Gate Valves (Pneumatic)

Ideal for upstream pressure regulation, CF Flanged SS 3-Position Pneumatic Gate Valves are frequently used alongside mass flow controllers for precise control in high-vacuum environments. The valve’s unique design includes a micrometer-set third position, enabling partial remote actuation to fine-tune the valve’s open position.

The valve body and internal components undergo vacuum furnace brazing at 1100°C and 10⁻⁶ torr, providing superior joint strength. This advanced process ensures that “virtual leaks” and entrapment areas are avoided, while also minimizing the structural distortion commonly seen in conventionally welded valves. For simplified maintenance, the carriage assembly can be removed without the need to disconnect the valve from the system.

Key Features:

  • Electropolished stainless steel: Increases durability and resistance to corrosion.
  • Compact interior surface area: One of the smallest in the vacuum valve industry, reducing contamination risks.
  • Positive shut-off mechanism: Maintains a closed position even during power loss and pressure drops, ensuring safety.
  • Innovative air cylinder design: Lacks mechanical locks inside the vacuum, minimizing shock and vibration during operation.
  • Suitable for semiconductor and precision applications: Specifically engineered for sensitive processes.

These high-performance valves are available from TFM, providing a reliable solution for critical vacuum applications.

FAQ

Sputtering targets are materials used in thin-film deposition processes to create coatings on substrates. They are used in industries like semiconductors, optics, photovoltaics, and electronics.

Evaporation materials are used in Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) processes, where materials are heated and evaporated to form a thin film on a substrate. These are critical for applications in optics, wear protection, and decorative coatings.

Boat crucibles are used as containers for evaporation materials during PVD processes. They help to uniformly evaporate materials onto the substrate for thin film formation.

Sputtering uses energetic particles to eject material from a target, while evaporation involves heating a material until it vaporizes and deposits on a substrate. Both are common methods in Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) for creating thin films.

Consider the material composition, purity, target size, and application-specific requirements such as the thickness and uniformity of the film.

Yes, we offer customized sputtering targets, evaporation materials, and crucibles to meet specific customer requirements for size, material composition, and purity.
